New Release: Germanic Tribesmen

Bursting out of the Teutoberg Forest and onto the shelves is our latest boxed set for our Ancient Armies range – Germanic Tribesmen! Clad in furs and wielding wicked clubs, cruel spears, and looted Roman gear, the Tribesmen gave the Legions of Rome a bloody nose on more than one occasion – the most famous being the destruction of 3 Legions in the forests of Germania.

Each boxed set contains all the characteristics you’d expect from the Germans – Suebian knots, topknots, clubs, animal skins and other such suitable tribal features abound.

We’ve also created a completely new command set with a suitably ferocious horn blower for sounding the charge or improvising and clubbing down any foolish enemies who get in his melee range!

As befits the nature of the Germanic tribes some of them wear looted Roman arms and armour – trophies or perhaps more sturdy replacements for their native apparel. Of course, the floor of the Teutoberg forest would provide ample opportunity to so equip themselves…

Using the same system that we’ve demonstrated with out Ancient Britons and Dacian Warhost boxed sets, our Ancient German Tribesmen are composed of both plastic and metal parts. Using this method you can assemble your troops in a huge number of variants.
